If the first installment of this series had me asking Piper What are you going to do? This second book had me asking myself What am I gonna do?If I were to summarize this book in one word, I’d say CROSSROADS. What make you choose your choices? This book digs deeper into the past of the characters that shaped their being. A look into their past that will help you understand what made them decide the way they did and would even make you want to ask yourself what you’ll you if it was your decision to make. And honestly, I don’t know if I should be happy or scared with the way I answered that question.
If book 1 made me feel like I was there with Piper, watching over her, anxiously waiting about what she’ll do next, this book lead me to the extra mile of being just there to being the character. That is saying that it’s not just my emotion involve now but my whole being. I was just so glad that there’s Michael, Betty and Jules for Piper to give their support because it was seriously a heck of a ride.
Even Chris’ presence in this book was something I really appreciate. And I didn’t expect it coming, but I really admired his character. I think it’s those situation where one person is put in an edge that you really get to see their personally deeply and more real. The decision Chris made, why he did it and the fact that he could have chosen not to do it, I really think that’s admirable of him. And if he have made grave mistake, that certain situation, I want to believe that he was able to redeem himself. Even if it’s something that not everyone will agree.
I felt Bobby’s confusion for the things he believed and what was before his but sometimes, I want to go inside the book and slap him in the face and ask if he really has his eyes open and if not I might just open it for him. But then if I think more logically, I’d say I get where he’s coming from even if I don’t agree with him. So I guess the space between Bobby and Piper was definitely needed.
Have I mentioned Jules? If not, I guess it’s time to say I love her with Michael even if most of the time I felt frustrated with how hard headed she can be. I like how despite being a best friend of Bobby’s, she manage to be a great friend to Piper and that’s saying something when your ready to jump on board to support your friend with something totally uncertain.

Danielle Stewart's continuing Piper Series leaves you with exciting anticipation to start reading the next book in this series immediately and that's what I'm going to do. The surprises and twist in this story keeps you from putting the book down. Just when you think it couldn't be as good as a read as the last one, Danielle Stewart definitely doesn't disappoint the reader. She's an excellent author who tells the story so well you feel like you're right there with the characters and a part of their story.
Okay so Chasing Justice was amazing ... Cutting Ties takes it up 10 notches !!! Kudos to Danielle Stewart for making an awesome plot with amazing characters!!! How she writes makes you imagine that you are there witnessing everything! You feel like your right alongside Piper... Feeling everything the characters feel! I give this book 5 amazing stars !! And now I will start reading Changing Fate!!! I simply can't get enough of these characters!! Love them all ! Every single one! There is not an insignificant detail in this story! Everything has it's place! I can go on forever explaining why this book is amazing! Take my word for it and get it and read it! Just read Chasing Justice first! You won't be disappointed!
I enjoyed this book as much as I enjoyed the first two. The author’s characters are normal human beings, who end up having tragic, abusive events in their history. The events are such, that love can’t conquer all. Now I have to read the third in the series, to see where these people’s lives end up.
As I started this authors first book in this series, was convinced I wasn't going to like her work. I kept reading because it was bad enough not to. Finally, as the story progressed I found I couldn't put it down. Then I had to read this one! The story is intriguing, fun, heart wrenching and full of twists that surprise.
Danielle Stewart hit a gold mining with the characters in her Piper Anderson series. They are amazing people with fierce loyalty, passion for life and for each other, great sense of humor, and enough flaws to make them appealing. Each one has an interesting history that continues to unfold with each new book. Can’t wait to read the next one humor, romance, suspense, mystery, and drama all rolled into one. I highly recommend this book for anyone looking for a pleasurable read!
This is another great sequel to the first with the exception that I feel is missing a bit more description of Chris, and the female officer who helped cover for them and herself as well. Being a series reader, I love to be, I. Found this sequel to the first to be as great and wonderful, but did find myself having to re-read a few sentences to make sense and realized the very minor single word missing here and there. Granted there are very few but in all, not like the first, I was able to put the book down three times.
This sequel had me crying, smiling, and wondering just as the main characters were too. I have read a sample of the third book, and wouldn't mind getting that too just to find out if Piper and Jules would accomplish the task they blindly set themselves out to do, to find Piper's natural father. To makes it more interesting, now I also want to find out if Jules would come to terms with herself on her own tight corner she found herself in.
Now would I suggest this author to anyone- most definitely I will!
The story is good if not your usual romance novel. The story was so good that it got 4 stars from me. I had a hard time buying the on again off again love story between Piper and Bobby. The tragedy of Piper’s prior
life and upbringing is enough to explain how messed up she is and her difficulty with love and relationships but Bobby should have been able to work more with her more than he did or give up being a policeman if he truly loved her. His stance as a policeman was correct so this looked like a doomed relationship.
